Memorial Service for Laura Roche : 9/21/13 in Huntington, NY
Laura Diane Roche was born in Queens, NY on November 13, 1954, with cerebral palsy that left her wheelchair-bound and unable to speak, feed or dress herself. Defying these enormous challenges, Laura went on to graduate from college and become a published poet. Laura loved being alive, despite her handicap, and numerous setbacks that kept her from getting to her final group home, she was determined to fight the hindrances of her disability as it progressed.
